This is my version of lentils that would work with the miniature pumpkins, too, I guess. I like it because it is so simple to make. When trying to find the recipe, I was actually looking for something called simple lentils; it’s a good thing savory starts with an S, too. I’m sorry I don’t remember who to attribute this recipe to.

1 tablespoon broth or water
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 cup brown lentils — washed
2 1/2 cups water
14 ounces can tomato pieces with juice
2 Tablespoons dehydrated onion
2 Tablespoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried celery flakes
salt and fresh ground pepper

Spray rice cooker container with nonstick cooking spray. Turn rice cooker on; add broth, curry powder and cumin. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes to bring out curry and cumin flavors. Add remaining ingredients, cover and cook until rice cooker shuts off. Stir once.
