I had all the ingredients and it sounded good. It hit the spot for lunch. I used a heaping T of curry powder, a heaping tsp of chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp of pepper and it was great! Thanks.

Sat, 17 Mar 2012 16:47:17 +0000http://fatfreevegan.com/?p=3364#comment-15163It was cold and rainy yesterday and I wanted to make soup so I tried this recipe. It was incredibly easy and I worried it wouldn’t have enough spice for my husband and I so I used hot madras curry powder instead of regular curry and it was fantastic! It had just a little heat, and was exactly the kind of comfort food I was looking for. Thanks Susan!

I was going to give Matt the benefit of the doubt, but then I noticed that the recipe contains a whole tablespoon of curry powder. It’s hard to imagine it being bland to most people!
