It turned out goopy instead, and I ended up throwing out most of it. 🙁

I added some lemon juice and it was even better. It is very light. I had two bowls, a hunk of bread and a pear. I’m still a bit hungry. A good side dish or a starter I think. Not enough substance for a main course.

Potato soups don’t freeze incredibly well. The flavor is fine, but the texture suffers.

I know leeks usually are pretty expensive. Don’t hesitate to use chopped onions instead. In fact, any time you run into something too expensive, look for something similar and use that.

It was easy to make and instead of using the pressure cooker, I simply put everything into a cooking pot and simmered for about an 1.5 hours. We served it with fresh baked whole wheat bread and strawberry rhubarb jam. The whole family enjoyed this. I will for sure be making this soup again! Thanks 🙂

Don’t have a pressure cooker and instead used a big pot for about 45 mins then put it all in the blender to make it creamy. Kids loved it too.

I am one of many who have raised kids on $30 a week in groceries. Here is a link to an article with another link to a blog that you may find helpful. Change is hard but healthy really is cheaper when you learn how. Good luck!

I have been told that it cost less than eating everythink but I don’t think so. When I have went to the store and would try to buy this type of foods the price was more that if I’d just made a burger and frys. I am going to try this mushroom leek soap because I have always liked any kind of mushrooms. I will use the pressure cooker to do this. “Indian Boy”
