I’m not sure why I let this one slip through, but it’s nowhere near low-fat. I’m considering taking it down, but the fact that people have tried it and liked it makes me hesitate.

Everything on there that’s not “fat free” is always marked as such. This is an awesome blog – super helpful. No need to be petty.

Anyway assuming you get 4 servings out of this, you’re looking at about 14g of fat per serving, with 5g of it being saturated fat. This is using the reduced fat crescent rolls and the lowest fat vegan mozerrella I could find online.

Now compare the fat content of that to a McDonald’s cheeseburger (12g fat, 6g saturated from mcdonalds.com)… let’s just say I am not too impressed with those numbers 🙂

Anyway, I’d love to hear suggestions on ways to swap out the crescent rolls for something else because they are the main source of the problem… I was thinking either a tortilla or some other kind of bread…

Most crescent rolls are very high in fat, especially bad fat such as hydrogenated oils, saturated fats, etc.

Whole Foods has a whole wheat frozen pizza dough that is good.
