They can call it fat-free because they make the serving size so low, like 1/3 of a second spray. The guidelines for labeling say that it can be called fat-free if it has less than a certain amount of fat per serving, but the serving size for non-stick spray is unreasonably small. Every tried spraying for 1/3 of a second? That’s why I advise using it only when absolutely necessary to prevent sticking. Even better is putting a couple of drops of oil in a skillet and wiping it around with a paper towel.
