To answer your question, the rice and quinoa are pre-cooked in this recipe. I cook the quinoa and rice together. 3 parts brown rice, 1 part quinoa, with a 2 to 1 ration of water. So, 1 1/2 cups brown rice, 1/2 cup red quinoa and 4 cups of water. It’s easy. Cook just like brown rice.
