And yes, leftover tea (and my love of figs) is what inspired me in the first place. 🙂

I’ve tried twig tea, decaf chai, and decaf green tea. I use calimyrna figs. I especially appreciate that you mention using leftover tea. it seemed odd, but then I realized how often I have leftover tea! Now I pop the leftover tea in a jar and store it in the fridge until I need it the next day! Thanks for another great idea for breakfast.

Here’s to those slow miracles for both of us. And yes, the tea does give the oatmeal a lovely aromatic flavor and texture. xoxo

I’m so happy to hear you’re stronger and able to do things you didn’t think you would. It’s such a reassuring thing that what you’re doing is right. Slow miracles. 🙂
The oatmeal looks tasty! I usually cook mine in a mix of hemp milk and water, but using tea would give it a different, lovely, and aromatic flavor. xoxo

(Love the handle 🙂 ) Thanks so much for telling me you enjoyed the story and you adored the porcupine/hedgehog drawing. Perhaps you could try the oatmeal with your green tea. And congrats on your own small improvements. Going about to do errands without having to sit down is a great one! I am thrlled for you too. 🙂

I really adore that photograph as we used to have hedgehogs in our garden and I loved their sweet little faces
I have not seem any for quite a while so I hope they are still about
Your recipes are so interesting too.
I love oatmeal but am unsure about twigs!
I enjoy green tea though.
So glad to hear you are slowly strengthening, it can only be good for you.
Battling through exercise is showing results with me, my small victory! I had a rare outing to the shops and I got round 5 streets without sitting anywhere! I hurt alright but I was thrilled for I have the proof too that it pays off.

I hope you find it as delicious a simple surprise as I did. Thanks for your kind words about the writing and the healing, Susan. It’s a slow miracle I’m ever so grateful for. Merry Christmas to you too! xo

LOL Honestly, I’m not a big fan of earthy flavors in my tea, but you’ve convinced me to try it if I ever see an individual bag of twig tea (or a really low priced box). Until that time, I will try your recipe using chai tea. In fact, it will be breakfast tomorrow.

Beautiful writing, as always, and it’s so inspiring to hear how much healing this way of eating has brought you. Merry Christmas!

I’m happy for me too. And it helps to recognize these things when at times maybe some other things are not as easy. It helps me know it’s all going in the right direction. And ooh, mint tea with a fig sounds like a good combo. Let us know how you like it. 🙂

The fact that you didn’t even realize you had your pack on? That’s amazing, and wonderful. Thanks for the idea about the tea. I’m going to have to try it, maybe with some mint tea I already have in the pantry. 🙂
