Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful poem. I’m so glad you pushed forward with your writing, and waited for the world to come around to its beauty and message. Although as a closet creative, my blood fairly boils that you were told “you can’t write about that.” Although I’m fairly sure that’s what the establishment has told anyone who’s dared to be groundbreaking.
]]>I love the theme life being long. It’s something I’ve thought a lot about this year, as I learn to be patient and trust in things’ unfolding, rather than trying to force outcomes, as is my habit. I know that it’s especially tough to practice the art of waiting and having faith in the professional realm, especially within the economy and culture we reside in. So, I’m happy to hear that poems are, one by one, finding their editors and their audiences. That’s wonderful news.
I’m also so glad for the chance to have read “As If We Were Solid and Did Not Go On Forever.” I think it’s a remarkable poem, one I need a great deal of time to process and absorb, and I’m still taking in its powerful ending. I’m looking forward to exploring it more. Thank you for sharing it with all of us, and with the world.
