I have followed your journey to the Oregon Coast as I grew up in Salem, Oregon and my grandmother lived on the Coast for many years. It was always the highlight of my summer to go and visit her as we had so many adventures. She loved hummingbirds too and fed them and it was always such a delight to eat a meal outside and watch them. Now that I am all grown up and live far away, I wish I could at least revisit those places. The way you describe things reminds me of the images aI hold in my memory of that time, so I thank you very much. I think it is just perfect that this is the third house as three is a blessed number. Having known only the basic details of how your new move came to be, it was so cool to catch up on the whole story — signs included. And I don’t think that you should feel a shred of embarrassment about having seen, and heeded, the signs. It takes sensitivity and attunement to recognize a sign when it crosses our path. And I love your closing words — there are so many things in love that start to cohere and acquire meaning only after we look back on them and see how the signs add up. Kudos to for observing and listening in your specially curious and open-minded way.
