It makes about 5-6 cups, depending on the size of the fruit you’re using. In my opinion, that’s about 2 servings (my husband and I split this most mornings).
If you’d like it sweeter, as someone asked above, just add more grapes or some pineapple. No need to add processed sweeteners.
I have the same question as Melissa- how many servings is the recipe?
how many servings is the Green Goddess Smoothie?
I’m so excited to start as soon as I get the book. (It’ll be coming in the mail in a few days from Amazon!). Since I don’t haven’t read the book just yet, is there a limit on how the water intake? What happens after the 6 weeks diet plan? Do most of you guys stick with it or change?
Hi Patty, most of the recipes here don’t have nutritional info because they were submitted by visitors like you. The blog recipes, however, mostly do have it. Just go to http://blog.fatfreevegan.com.
If you don’t like one brand of stevia, try another. Somehow they all have different favors. My favorite brands are NuNaturals and KAL. NuNaturals has many different types, and my favorites are their pure stevia extract and No-Carbs varieties.
Does anyone know the macro-units in these tasty beverages? Did I miss the area of cals, protien, fats & etc. So glad a freind referd this site! How exciting!!! If I missed it could someone show me where it might be located. Also, I just became aspartame free & after a tuff battle going through the withdrawal from it, I’m looking for substitutes to still get that sweet taste in a beverage w/o the chemically engineered sweetners that cause weight gain anyway! I am using stevia which is really tuff to get use to the different taste… any sugesstions here!? Thanks, ~Patty~
To Patti:
I was reading a lot of the same articles about “food combining” and I do believe there is merit in some of these findings. Ultimately most people said they ended up with horrendous gas (which obviously no one wants). What I found works best is using apples as they have a more neutralizing effect. Trying to understand food combining can be a bit maddening, ultimately you have to listen to your body. it will let you know what makes you feel good and what it needs.
In reference to smoothies, has anyone heard that you shouldn’t mix fruit & veggies in a smoothie? I googled it and there’s a lot of info on why one shouldn’t mix the two. Something about how it digests & breaks down in the stomach. Any feedback would be welcome! Thanks so much!
I make variations of this and find that the fruit makes it sweet enough. especially the baanana. I throw in blueberries when I need to disguise the kale for my husband ( he’s not a big kale fan!) He prefers a purple smoothie to a green one!
Should I use any kind of sweetener in this? Or will the fruit give it the sweet taste? 🙂

This was tasty. I had go make a couple substitutions because I didn’t have kale . I used Chard and satsuma and cucumber which is good too!

What type of blender is best to use?
