Okey, so this is my first recipe 🙂 I never really look exactly how much I put something but I am quite sure that you will have awesome bread or pizza crust when you do as I will write it down. It is super simple to make and it is absolutely delicious 🙂
So, lets get started, you will need for the bread following things:
3/4 cup of buckwheat flour
1/4 cup of almond flour
4 heaping Tbs of unsweetened apple sauce
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of corn starch
about 1/2 cup of warm or hot water
1 tsp. of ground coriander seeds
salt to taste or 1/4 of cup of bragg’s liquid aminos( that’s what i like to use for everything)
1-2 Tbs ground psyllium husk
When you don’t have buckwheat flour at store make it yourself:) that’s what I do, I use my vitamix blender but you can use coffee grinder for example, same with almond flour.
Preheat your oven for 400 F . I have electric oven I can choose either broil or bake. I usually use broil. this way its quicker.
So you put buckwheat flour in the bowl and mix it with baking powder and corn starch. set it aside. then in the blender you will mix almond meal with apple sauce, water and bragg’s. blend it until it is smooth. then you mix it into buckwheat mix and add coriander seed and mix again. and as for last you add 1-2 Tbs of psyllium husk depending on how watery your though is. if it seems quite thick then add one Tbs.
Take baking sheet and cover it with attachment paper. take your dough. it is little bit sticky on hands..that okey..but it on the baking sheet and try to make nice even bread..around 1 inch thick. Use warm water to make it easier, it does help.
You can also make about 4 smaller breads.. around one inch think 🙂
and then put it into the oven for about 15- 2o minutes. Now, every oven is different. put your bread on the middle tray. if you decide to make smaller breads it will probably take about 10- 15 minutes. If you choose to make one even bread it might take around 30 minutes. So it will be good to check on your bread. Don’t just forget about it. After every 10 minutes of baking check 🙂
You can also try all kinds of different spices, like basil or rosemary..or thyme 🙂 I hope you will like it 🙂 I sure love it 🙂
Now, for pizza crust you need again basically same ingredients but it is even more simple 😛 You just leave out baking powder, corn starch and coriander seeds and instead you add basil and oregano, around one teaspoon of each. lay it on baking paper and with fingers and help from the warm water lay it as thin as you can and as even as you can. and before you but your toppings on bake it in the oven for 5 minutes in the middle tray on 400 F. Then take it out, lay your toppings on and bake again..until its ready 🙂
